Log In/Password Problems

Q: The site asked me to "login".

A: If you've ordered documents before, use the same user name and password that you used last time in the upper portion of the "login" page. If you've never ordered documents on the website before, you are required to register. Fill in the registration form. It gives you instant access for ordering documents from the website.

Q: I cannot remember my password.

Click on the forgot password page to receive a new password.

Q: I requested a password. Where is it?

A: If you requested your password through the password request form, it should ordinarily arrive within a few minutes. If it does not arrive please contact us via the contact form at the bottom of each page.

Q: I cannot remember my user name.

When you first created your account, we sent you an email with your username and password.
If you are not sure what email address you used to register, include other identifying information that will help us find your account, such as organization mame, phone number, or address. We will use that information to look up your registration and send you an email with your username and password.

Viewing and Downloading Reports

Q: When I try to download a document, I get nothing.

Some of the documents are very large, and may take several minutes to download, especially if you have a slow internet connection.

Q: After downloading a report, it won't open.

A: Make sure that you have the Acrobat Reader installed on your system, so that you can view the PDF files. For other types of files on the website, use the "reader" that is mentioned on the abstract page.

Q: I cannot save a copy of a spreadsheet file to my computer from Excel.

A: Download the spreadsheet directly from the website to a file on your computer, instead of trying to do it from inside Excel.

Q: There is nothing to click on for downloading the document that I want.

A: When you open the abstract pop-up on the website, does it say "PDF not yet available"? It may be that the Transportation Research Board (TRB) has not yet released the PDF. It should become available within the next week.

Q: My e-mail address or maling address has changed. How do I update my contact information?

A: You can update your contact information on the edit profile page.

Getting Report Notifications

Q: One of my colleagues always seems to know when the latest reports come out. How can I keep up?
