Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation (aka IndyGo)
Roscoe Brown has over twenty years of experience and involvement in community and public transportation in the City of Indianapolis. He spent eleven years as the Director of Transportation for the Community Centers of Indianapolis. Since 1999 he has been employed with the Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation (IPTC). Roscoe served eight years as IndyGo Director of Flexible Services and was responsible for IndyGo’s demand response paratransit and ADA transportation services.
In 2007, Roscoe accepted the position of Director of Coordinated Transportation Programs and began a new role with IPTC overseeing the development of coordinated transportation programs in the Indianapolis region as well as serving as project manager for IndyGo’s federal Job Access and New Freedom grant programs.
Roscoe is a graduate of Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He has been designated as a Certified Community Transit Manager by the Community Transportation Association of America. He is a member of the Conference Of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), and a founder and immediate past President of the Indiana Chapter of COMTO. Mr. Brown serves on a number of boards and advisory committees in and around the Indianapolis region representing public transportation interest. Roscoe is a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Indianapolis where he serves on the Deacon Board, and is a life-long resident of the city of Indianapolis.
