As a member of the Progressive Transportation Services Administration within DDOT, Ms. Wong works on various transit issues including DC Streetcar, development reviews, and serves as a jurisdictional representative for the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA) for various Metrobus service evaluation studies and Metrorail station area planning studies.
Prior to her work at DDOT, Ms. Wong joined the District of Columbia’s Capital City Fellows program, where she worked in the office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development and the Office of the Chief Financial Officer.
Ms. Wong is a native of Hong Kong, and was raised in California. Her first introduction to the world of transportation was working on community benefits and public involvement for the Central Subway project in San Francisco, California. She holds a BA in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley and a Masters in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University.
