Ayub Chaudhry is a Superintendent at New York City
Transit (NYCT) currently working in the Contract
Review & Special Projects unit. Ayub began his
career in NYCT in 1986 as a Railroad Clerk. Since
then Ayub has amassed a great deal of experience
in a variety of disciplines by working in NYCT's
operating division in multiple capacities such as
Tower Operator, Train Dispatcher and Control
Center Superintendent. The experience and
knowledge gained lead to Ayub leading a team of
experts in modernizing of the systems used in the
operations of the NYCT Control Center. The team
successfully moved the Control Center Operations
from a very antiquated and cramped room into one
of the world's most advanced Rail Control Centers
(RCC). With almost one million cubic feet of
columnless operating theater and state of the art
systems the Supervisors and Mangers for the first
time in the NYCT history can directly manage and
control train service through 177 stations in
Subdivision-A of Rapid Transportation Operations
within the subways division of the NYCT.
