Mr. Fuentes has been an employee of the Greater
Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) for
25 years. He is currently serving as the Section
Supervisor of the Brake Reline Dept. at the
Central Bus Maintenance Facility (CBMF). His
section is responsible for the cleaning,
inspection, repair, and replacement of all the
brake, suspension, and steering systems on
coaches.
Mr. Fuentes holds a Certificate of Completion in
Supervisory Leadership and a Labor - Management
Relations Certificate from Cleveland State
University. He also holds a Certificate of
Competition in Leadership Development from Polaris
Adult Career Center. He has four Automotive
Service Excellence Certifications, Medium/Heavy
Truck Suspension & Steering T4, Brakes T5,
Automotive/Light Truck Suspension & Steering A4,
and Brakes A5. He was born and raised in New York
City and attended Automotive H.S., in the borough
of Brooklyn.
Mr. Fuentes has been involved with COMTO at the
GCRTA for more than 20 years. He is currently an
active member of the Greater Northeast Ohio COMTO
Chapter. He serves on the GCRTA's District
Council, and the Hispanic Recruitment and
Promotion Committees. He has been an Ordained
Minister since 1987 and is a graduate of Mizpa
Bible Institute located in Rio Piedras, Puerto
Rico. He lives in Lorain, Ohio with his wife
Christine. They have six children and twelve
grandchildren.
