Jared Otero was born in New York City, NY in 1981
where he lived until 1991 when he moved to South
Florida, where he completed high school and
attended college. Jared is a graduate of Florida
International University where he attended and
received a Bachelors of Science degree in
Construction Management. Jared graduated from
FIU with honors and was a member of the Tau Beta
Pi Engineering Honor Society. During this time
Jared was actively involved in supporting
community events that focused on helping
underprivileged teenagers to stay in school and
pursue college.
While attending college he also worked with PACO
Group, Inc., an Engineering Consulting Firm that
specializes in Project and Construction Management
Services, in various capacities. During his time
with PACO Jared worked as an Administrative
Assistant, Estimator and Document Controls
Specialist. While working with PACO he was
assigned to several projects including the South
Florida Regional Transit Association (Tri-Rail
project), Miami-International Airport Capital
Improvement Program, Monmouth-Ocean-Middlesex Rail
Project, Tapanzee Bridge, Jackson Memorial
Hospital, Battery Park Kowsky Plaza, FIU Graduate
Business School, and the Miami Dade Public
Schools.
Jared will continue his career as he moves on to
New York City, NY where he will assume his new
position with PACO Group as an Associate working
out of company's corporate headquarters. He plans
to begin his graduate studies with City College of
New York where he will pursue a Masters of Science
in Transportation.
