Antoinette Y. Poinsette

A. Y. Poinsette is a life long native New Yorker who has been with the MTA - New City Transit for 20 years. Her work in various areas of rail operations has allowed her to amass a great deal of experience in several areas of public transportation rail operations. Her career path in operations includes the positions of Train Operator, Train Dispatcher, and various levels of operations management. This versatility is apparent in her current position which includes the challenge of planning, designing, and integrating 21st century technology into operations of a 19th century rail system. In order to address these challenges Ms. Poinsette subscribes to the principal that extensive research, the incorporation of industry best practices, and comprehensive user training is the most practical approach to assuring successful new technology implementation.
